04 wrx won't start
I drive an 04 wrx and last night driving normally i put it into second gear and it just cut out like a fuel cut or something.
I swapped the stock fuel pump back in because i couldn't hear my walbro 255 pump running. I know i have 3/4 of a tank but the gauge reads empty.
Should i get a new fuel pump relay?? anyone have any idea of what this might be???
Mods i know this is a double post but i always seem to get a quicker response posting it up in nesic, please let this fly. thanks :disco:

Radiator shops that recore?
Anyone know of a good radiator shop that will recore a radiator?
I have a 1980 MGB that I'm trying to breathe some new life into. The radiator is not leaking but the core is fairly well rotted and the cooling efficiency is crap. The car overheats fairly easily.
I have looked into it, and there are replacement options but they aren't good. There are exacting fit replacements but they are said to be cheap and thin. There are also aluminum replacements but the don't fit well and the hose connections are incorrect but can be made to work with other hoses commonly found at parts stores. Which brings me to recoring which seems to be the best solution given i can find a good shop that will do a good job. The core style (tube config) is supposed to be fairly common too but recoring radiators is not as common as it once was.
So if anybody has any recommendations, I'm open to them. Anything within reasonable distance from Northboro, Worcester, Andover or Boston.
Thanks,
Mark

parents got a new whip
So I came home this weekend and decided to go with my dad for about a half hour to an hour on Friday. We end up at a used car dealer near where my dad works in Springfield to look at a 2004 Chevy Cavalier for my sister. Turned out the car had left the lot about 2 hours earlier and priced way below KBB and being as clean as i had seen previous i cant imagine why it hadnt gone sooner.
Well the dealer started talking about other cars he had and some that he was getting in shortly. I walked over to a 2002 Subaru Legacy GT, started walking around it and just kinda hinted to my dad to look into it even tho it was out of the price ranger for my sister. Well Mr. Deal guy walked into the office, came out and tossed me the keys and told me to fire it up. (Yes fire it up) So I hop in, turn it on and get out to listen to it. Sounded pretty good at first, no knocking or anything like that, so my dad pops the hood to look underneath. Turns out to be a pretty clean bay underneath and no leaking gaskets or anything after a few minutes at idle. Mr. dealer guy now come out of the office and says "I thought you left already?" Turns out we apparently were gunna go for a test drive.
Well no big plans for me or my father right then so we hop in and take it out. WOW! i was really surprised when i drove it. Handled extremely well, no noise in the cabin, and just really wanted to take off on me. I want to say it was a smoother ride then me 02 WRX, but i wonder if that because my suspension is on its way out? Either way i wasnt test driving it for me, just in general. Overall a good experience for both my father and me after we had both driven it.
well to make a long story short i got a phone call from my father later on, and apparently he had gone back to the dealership and taken my mother with him, and they made an arrangement to buy it and trade in one of their older cars (either 2003 grand am with engine problems or 1996 VW jetta with poor tranny and other small mech problems i cant remember which ****box is being traded in) in the next week. i guess my father and mother liked it enough to buy it after a few test drives around Springfield and some negotiation. I guess a clean and clear carfax report didnt hurt either in their decision to buy.
Well now the family has some extra cash laying around and need a reliable car for my sister since my parents are greedy and decided to keep the GT for themselves. So if youve got a car your looking to sell for ~$3k shoot me a pm. i get them straight to my email so i can forward them right to my parents as well. pics are a huge plus and any information you can give as well please. wouldn't mind having a Subaru family.
Its too damn bad they wont give me the money to go stage two. im the eldest and the favorite thats clear, but when it comes to my car i am fiscally responsible for everyting that goes in or onto it :unamused: oh well
Oh i could use some other parts to make the stage 2 process more of a reality for this coming spring
All parts to fix a 2002 WRX
need: uppipe (preferrably catless)
downpipe (bellmouth and catless)
someone who does a good job tuning and is relatively inexpensive:D
hell an extra set of hands couldnt hurt when putting everything in
shoot me what youve got. ill post picks of the new Leggy when i get them

Want to try out STi seats(Framingham area)
Anyone in the Framingham area w/ a car that has STI seats in them? It seems that this is the best upgrade option for the WRX TR seats w/o getting into buying rails, etc. for Recaro, etc. I've pretty much made up my mind to look for these, but would like to sit in some for a short ride. I'm most interested in the amount of lumbar support and just general alignment of the spine. I've searched, but there seems to be contradicting opinions on the matter. Coffee and donuts on me!

Pro-tune AP V2 Stage II in NH or MA
Hi All,
So I contacted a couple tuners that are mentioned throughout Nesic to see what they charge for a Pro-tune AP V2 Stage II. One stated they only do AP V1 and another does only opensource.
Anyone have a recommendation for a tuner who can Pro-tune AP V2 Stage II? I'm in Southern NH and willing to drive a distance if necessary, but do want to try to stay close for future services if needed.
Thanks!

Want to sponsor a rally Team?
Just thought I'd throw up this thread for any New England business, or someone that may work for a company that wants their name on a rally car for our next event to help us out $$ wise and such.
We're gearing up for the second round of the New York Rally Championship with Rally New York USA.
Our first rally ever was round one of the championship - Winter Rally New York - where we took home 3rd in class fourth overall :) we look to head back to New York to build our reputation and skills.
If you're interested in details etc shoot me a PM.

Sandblasting in North Central Mass.
I'd like some recommendations on shops that will do sandblasting in the Fitchburg/Worcester area.
I need to refinish 4 strut bodies, and there's a good amount of surface rust.

Help installing springs - 2005 STI
Anyone willing to help (read: show me how to) install springs on my 2005 STI? I bought a set of EPIC springs shortly after Christmas and it's about time they go on.
I have limited tools and space (I have a garage, but my car just barely fits ;)), so if someone has both that would be ideal. Never done this before, so it would be a learning experience for me, which means you'll be doing some teaching
I can supply food/drinks :ritz: I work in Needham 90% of the time and Marlborough/Framingham the other 10% if anyone is local to those areas and willing to help. Thanks!
