I was wondering if anyone was going to be heading down for their grand opening?
I am going to be heading down to check it out. AJW has been a great vendor for all my parts needs and i figured it would be worth it to show local support since we dont have much for performance shops and such. Sounds like its going to be a fun day!

Anybody here know how to fix RROD on a 360? I found some guys on craigslist, but it just seems kinda shady. I'd much rather resort to the NESIC members for help/guidance.

I'm gonna try to keep this as short as I can but that might be hard. please bare with me I could use help on this one..

This is in regards to my 1979 Pontiac Trans Am (In the middle of it's restoration)

In august of last year a man names george from georges auto said I can store my car there as well as my tool box because I was leaving for basic training at fort knox kentucky for the US army. I have known him for two years at the time and even used to work for him. When I moved my box there i told him and his wife, I have recieved an enlistment bonus when i get home from maryland (AIT) in Febuary of 2010.

They both turned me down and said they wont accept any type of paymentbecause they know i care about my car and my tool box has $40 grand worth of tools in it. (i made sure not to leave him the keys to the box)

Well i came home and my fiance and i are in the search of a home where we can keep our cars (5 vehicles between both of us) george knew this and he was completely fine with it. well in late april or early may of 2010 my wrx needed a clutch BAD.

i go to his shop and ask him.. if hes not busy can i use one of his lifts, it shouldnt take more than two days for me to get it done.. he pulls me off to the side secretly and says i can use his lift if I let him borrow $300. I said fine, i planned on paying him for the time on the lift anyways, but he said borrow and said he'd pay me back the following week.

They call and order my clutch kit.. $233. so i go to an ATM and pull out $540 (have the bank statement) and i bought a soda or soemthing so I handed him exactly $533. well I get the transmission dropped and come to low-and-behold, the clutch kit is wrong, its for a naturally aspirated engine. either way i had to return the clutch.

when i go to return it I'm not given back my cash, i'm given back a check that they had written out.. so they pocketed my money and wrote a check.. thats fine, I go and give them the check back and I get a promise that next week I'll get all of my money back.. well next week comes and my wrx is still sitting on the lift, i call them and tell them i need that money cause the clutch from napa is almost $400. the wife, jackie gives me this bull**** pity story how she has bills and if i can order the clutch and get my wrx outta there she promises to pay me.

(guess she thinks she's the only one with bills that matter)
so i buy the clutch (also have the bank statement) and I end up just using the clutch disc and junking the rest of the kit.. i dont acre at the time I had just gotten a new job and needed this car off the lift.

now when I was there doing the clutch george told me they plan on moving.. I was upset a little cause I didn't know where to move my trans am, george never gave me a date when he was moving but he said one day. george told me hes gonna have my car moved to his driveway for me for the summer and i should be able to get it outta his way by then. i was grateful, and i did not expect him to do that for me..

I was going to sell the car and put it in good hands, *silverfleet* from this forum even came over and checked the car out and i have a thread on this forum and Transamcountry.com with a big sob story why i hafta get rid of it.

so a month goes by and I've been working a lot and hadn't heard form george, I figure he's had plenty of time to get me the money that he's promised to pay back. I try calling for over a week everyday. no answer at the shop. I assume they are avoiding me so i decide to go by his shop and see whats going on.. i pull up.. my car is gone and no one is there.

so i remembered the garage he said he was thinking of moving to so i try going by there.. i notice the same srt4 there that was there before. so i pull up and find that there is a passat sitting on the jackstands that my trans am were on! i tell myself, thats it i gotta go to his house, hopefully he moved my car there.

(i'm gonna try to cut this short)

bottom line is he started giving me the run around saying someone picked it up and playing dumb blah blah..

it wasn't until I reported it stolen and got the cops to call them and say "if we don't have the car today ur getting arrested at midnight" Immediately they tell the officer the name of a salvage yard they had pick it up. I go there and talked to them, apparently jackie has been calling them allllll day crying saying she needs my car back or shes being arrested.

THANKFULLY my car has not been crushed, they bought my trans am off of them for $50.. I have over 10 grand invested in this car, i was PISSED!:unamused::unamused:

They let me go in the back to see my car and point it out.. it has extra damage to it. lots of extra damage to it. the truck guy said when he pulled up there was someone under my car unbolting things.



my subframe connectors have been taken off and the bolts are all thats missing there.. my trunk is damage, and they admitted to taking my tail lights, i had lights in the trunk, they took the speakers out and slid it through a hole. my trunk is damaged cause they tried getting in.

I was speechless at how I found my car. the yard also gave me a copy of what george signed.. saying this

"Scrapping a car that is not your's, or without the full knowledge of the owner is ILLEGAL. By signing this you take FULL responsibilty of all fees, charges, and damage to said vehicle"

they yard said most of the damage was like that when they picked it up.

bottom line is I wanna take his ass to court for the added body work my car now needs on top of what it already needed and the $530 i have yet to see and all that BS. I dont wanna get a lawyer which is why I'm bugging you guys on the forum hoping for good advice.

Bought my 06 STi with two Bride Zeta 3's, and they just aren't fit for a daily driver. Not sure how long they were used but they are clean and ready to go. I do not need stock seats of any kind (WRX/STi) so no trades, passenger STi seat is already in the car.
One has a fixed position rail (passenger) and the other is adjustable.
I also have the Takatas shown and the Autopower roll cage/bar up for sale as well.
I'm not sure what I want for the seats, I'd like to sell both with their rails for $1800 OBO, not sure how the Bride seat economy is but I'll play along. everything else I'll work with it as interest grows, the seats are the priority (registration money!)

So, as the title says.. I'm trying to clear and blackout my headlights. Didn't know if anyone in CT is available today to give a hand as last time i attempted just clearing on my 05 rex there was condensation in the lenses. Let me know if anyone is interested.

So I'm moving to MASS from out of state, and I'm wondering how anal they are when doing the vehicle inspection, I have headers, hi flow cat, the whole bit, I'm under the sound limit and both 02sensors are working(no cel's)

Am I going to have to change the headers and cats back to factory or can I leave them? I've looked for some kind of documentation on this, but the sites are so vague..... So yeah a little help over here..

I'm trying to by a friend a nice car gift that's under 150 bucks. It could be a part, clothing, anything gimmicky... anything. I just really need help because I'm unfortunately a newbie! I'd appreciate ANY help!

I need some help. I will be in the Providence RI area for a couple of weeks, and I will need an oil change. I use Amsoil 5w30 Full Syn. Can you recommend a place to get the oil changed? Any Subie dealerships that offer Amsoil in their oil changes?

I just picked up a d80 real cheap, but the battery is dead and it didn't come with a charger. would anyone be willing to charge my battery real quick so i can take shots of my kid? my wife is due in 2 days and the one i ordered off ebay is shipping from hong kong wont be here till july...:(

Hello fellow NESICers. i have a slight favor to ask someone if possible. Does anyone have access to the tool that pulls piston wrist pins out of the block? Im trying to get a rebuild going and can NOT get the pistons out of the shortblock :mad:. Or if anyone could tell me an easier way to do it? thank you!!

This Sunday, June 20th; starting around 10AM @ the Starbucks parking lot in Maple Tree Place, Williston.

This is an informal gathering for all cars and car enthusiasts, which will hopefully become a regular thing. Drink some coffee, kick some tires, and shoot the breeze with some fellow gearheads.

Some folks in our area are taking the initiative to get this started. No club sponsor, no format, any and all wheels welcome.

Just looking for anyone in the MA area (preferably near boston) w/ a MadDad Whisper to let me come listen to it. I would also appreciate hearing in person a Stromung, Prodrive, or Borla Hush. I'll probably wind up going w/ the 2.5" dual tip version of one.

I'm a usually working or too busy during normal hours to come to most boston/worcester area meets, but I could do that too, as long as I had a pretty good idea some quiet exhausts would be there.

I'm trying to get a catted downpipe and quiet axleback together that will NOT attract attention, as I'm sure you Massho&%$ understand. Modified exhaust = illegal.
