Truck shows?
There was a truck show in June in Northampton, MA. It was more big rigs than pickups.
Anything like that coming up? My son would love it. Or a military vehicle show?

NEFR on Bill Green's Maine
It's on right now on WCSH. Very cool segment with lots of footage and info about all levels of racers.
I went to their website but couldn't get the video to play: http://www.wcsh6.com/life/programmin...e/default.aspx
-edit-
The video worked with Internet Explorer but not Mozilla...and it's 5:55 long. :)

Anyone going to LeMons this weekend?
So I guess it's today already. Anyway, I'm heading down there to try and be there for 11AM. Or earlier. Going to support a couple of the teams racing.
Anyone else planning on going?

Good body work in Boston for a 22b
I have to get a quarter panel on my car (GC coupe) replaced and I figured it might be a good opportunity to slap on some 22b rear quarters. Does anyone know a good preferably cheap place to do this/how much this would roughly cost in labor?

Breaking and Entering, Motor Vehicles
Just saw the crime statistics in the local paper.
South Boston is a Boston neighborhood of around 25,000, so in that sense it is a “small town.” There are big influxes of people from outside the community to certain parts of the neighborhood, for example the beaches and Castle Island. All those areas are included in "our" stats.
For the month of June, there were a total of 49 crimes committed. Of those, 30 were Breaking and Entering of a motor vehicle.
Out of those 30 B&E’s, 15 GPS’s were stolen, followed by computers, steering wheel airbags, golf clubs, and “dashboard sound systems”.
Of special concern is that entry was gained in most of the cases by smashing a window.
These statistics are undoubtedly mirrored in other communities. Pretty clear message to leave nothing of value in your car.

Rally races in the northeast for beginners?
Hey, i'm getting a rally car together with some friends, and i was wondering where we would be able to race stage rallies, not rallycross, since rallycross seems too boring...
we are obviously not looking to go pro, just to have some fun, as we're all experienced drivers and some of us are experienced mechanics.
can someone please give me information regarding events, clubs, etc.?
thanks,
mike

STOLEN: High End Photo Equipment! Please help!
This is being posted from my iphone so please disregard the grammar.
I noticed yesterday one of my camera setups was missing from my kitbag. Lots of equipment was left untouched.
Missing are:
Canon 5d MkII, Canon grip, 2 Canon batteries
Canon 50mm f/1.2L USM
B+W 72-77mm Step Up Ring
B+W 77mm MRC CPL filter
Canon 580ex II w/ Round Diffuser
Possibly a 8gb memory card.
Also in the bag at the time were:
Canon EOS 350D
Canon EOS 50D
Canon 70-200 f/2.8L IS
Canon 24-105 f/4L IS
Sigma 10-22 f/4
3x Canon 430ex II
Miscellaneous B+W filter
Miscellaneous other accessories.
The 5d setup was disassembled, in a compartment if my bag separate than the 350d+70-200 and 50d+24-105 setups which were assembled and Uuready to go. And thus leads to what's going to screw me over.
The bag was brought to Wicked Big Meet, a small photoshoot in Boston, Hot Import Nights, and a wedding this past weekend. Since I haven't been in that separate compartment, I don't know when it disappeared. I'm going to rule out the photoshoot since it was me, a helper, and 2 subjects there, and I'm going to rule out the wedding because it was family, and if any of them were to have taken it they wouldve taken an assembled setup. At wicked big meet, myself and a few trusted friends were around my car all day.. And because I don't know where it happened, I can't get a police report. And my insurance agent is telling me that in the case of negligence, it's very hard for the underwriter to pay out, especially if a police report isn't obtainable.
I'm going to assume it was another photographer that took it. Mainly due to the fact they took the highest end gear, and gear that was disassembled, they knew what they wanted out of my bag.
And what hurts the most, was the setup was bought, with cold hard cash, at the beginning of June. And the shutter count is in the double digits because I didn't have time to get accustomed to the controls.
I'm broke as a joke right now, so I can't afford to replace it. The invoice for that setup was north of $5000. I was looking to get into wedding photography as a backup for an established studio...that can't happen without the setup.
I beg of nesic, if anyone saw anything at wbm or hin, or sees the setup on Craigslist, eBay, or any of the other forums, please let me know. I have the serial for the body to be referenced.
Even if my insurance does pay out, which there is a very slim chance of, after deductible and "depreciation" I'll be lucky to get $2500-3000 back. It'll be better than nothing, but I just want my camera back

MA/NH after-market seat store?
I plan on getting a driver's seat that's more comfortable and supportive (especially lumbar) than the stock ones in my 2006 TR. My budget is ~$1000 for seat and hardware. Any know of a store that stocks Recaro Sport/Speed seats and/or the Sparco equivalents? I'd love to test these out before placing an order.
Thanks for the feedback.

Restaurant/Tavern in Manchester NH?
Need a suggestion for a place to eat and have some beers tonight in or near Manchester, NH around 8:30 PM after we pick someone up at the airport. Looking for casual, good atmosphere, good food, good beer selection, pub/tavern/restaurant, not sketchy, not a bunch of 20-year-olds doing jello shots, no bouncers and dress codes, not fast food, easy to find at night. Any ideas? :)

Speeding Ticket Defense Lawyer in Boston
If anyone's looking for help fighting a speeding ticket...
Just got a ticket dismissed with the help of this lawyer, if anyone wants his info pm me, and I'll pass it on to you. Or if I'm allowed to post the info, someone let me know and I'll post the website address. Not sure if it conflicts with the services and vender rules of nasioc?
Would have been my third offense in a year, putting me on a 30 day suspension, but I don't have to worry about that now, as the ticket was resolved on the clerk level.

Ford Racing: Fiesta Rally Experience
Quote: Ford Racing has teamed up with New Hampshirebased Team ONeil Rally School to let the general public learn how to go rallying in a Ford Fiesta. Ford will campaign highly modified Fiestas in both the FIA World Rally Championship and Rally America next year, and is allowing regular car owners a chance to get in on the fun. http://blog.caranddriver.com/ford-ra...Driver+Blog%29
Sounds fun, does anyone know more info on this?
I was on Oneil's page but didn't see anything about Ford Fiesta
